General Urology

The practice of Dr Peter Campbell covers all general urological conditions – including cancer, kidney stone disease, urinary tract bleeding, voiding dysfunction and bladder control.

Evaluation & treatments

Hermaturia (blood in urine)

Blood in the urine may be obvious or only apparent on a urine test. It can be a sign of many different urinary tract disorders including kidney disease, cancer, stones or infection. Dr Campbell is guided by protocols for investigation as recommended by Australian and international urological societies. This might include radiological imaging, blood and urine tests and endoscopic inspection of the bladder (cystoscopy). This practice provides the full range of investigations and necessary treatments for any conditions diagnosed.

Stone disease

Kidney stones can cause severe pain. The practice offers emergency evaluation and surgical treatment for acute renal colic as well as the ongoing management of complex established stone disease. A wide range of minimally invasive procedures is available including ESWL, laser lithotripsy, percutaneous kidney surgery and endoscopic kidney surgery. Dr Campbell is also experienced in the long term management and prevention of urinary stones.

Urological cancers
(Kidney, bladder, testes, & prostate)

The practice subspecializes in the treatment of all urological cancers. Dr Campbell works with a team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists and radiologists to provide a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment. Minimally invasive surgical treatment options are available and include robotic assisted prostatectomy. With a small caring team, we pride ourselves on the personal approach we are able to offer – our aim is to focus on the overall wellbeing of our patient and their family and provide exceptional continuity of service.

Dr Peter Campbell cares for men’s sexual and reproductive health, including prostate enlargement and cancer and treats women with urinary incontinence.
