Women’s Health

One in three women experience some degree of urinary incontinence during their lifetime – but many are reluctant to seek advice. The practice offers comprehensive evaluation of the pelvic floor and bladder function as well a wide range of treatment options.

Evaluation & Treatment

Female incontinence

In many instances, conservative management with physiotherapy or medication might be all that is required to manage symptoms. However, should surgery be necessary, Dr Campbell specialises in repair using native or biological tissues.

This is to avoid the complications that can occur with synthetic grafts. Other options include minimally invasive surgery such as tape surgery, open or laparoscopic Burch culposuspension, autologous pubo-vaginal sling, artificial urinary sphincter or urinary diversion.

Urinary tract infections

Many women experience recurrent urinary tract infections. There are standard protocols for investigation that usually require urine tests and endoscopic inspection of the bladder (cystoscopy). The practice provides the full range of investigations and necessary treatments.
